Hi everyone! I'm new to this board and I would like to ask for your help.
I have a Sony Vaio Pro 13 SVP13215PXS that I bought last 2014 from Amazon. Early last year, my screen started flickering when on battery power. Regardless of the charge, 0 to 100% the screen would flicker but as soon as you plug it in the AC, things are fine.
Thinking that it is a battery problem, I finally decided to buy a replacement battery online to remedy this. After the installation of the new battery, it was working fine as long as the charge is above 50%. As soon as it drops below 50%, screen flickering starts again. So either you top up the charge or just plug it in the AC.
Just to make sure that I have not bought a defective battery, I decided to buy another battery from another supplier. Same thing happened...
I would like to say that when the flickering starts, lack of power supply seems to just affect the screen itself and not the other components of the laptop. It continues to operate but with screen flickering specially under "load" like when you open a new program or webpage.
