VAIO system tune-up
hello Sony,
I've got a VPCS13L9E. I run system tune-up every 10 days or so. Last night I ran it then shut down computer. And this morning, it's like disaster has struck. What have you done with the programme????
My icons have been grossly re-arranged on the screen.
The print in the internet pages messed around with, all are enormous,
The type in a message in my gmail is all fuzzy.
I use LibreOffice. Their files are opening up with print size altered too, and size of image messed around with.
Another programme I use has fuzzy type.........
loads of problems......
Please can someone tell me what to do?

no brightness control in win 7 VPCL116FX
keyboard supplied with computer had F5 & F6 for brightness control but since has been replaced with a Logitech MX5500 which has no brightness control. There is no brightness control slider under "power options" and no brightness control in vaio care under "display"

Repetitive Sony charges on my credit card statement
I've got a question and the Sony suport email to contact a Sony representatvie is impossible to find, so I've decided just to try and post it here:
I used the Sony support once for my computer to remove some malware for the one time charge of $19.99 but I have found a repetitive charge of "008610 Prem.Support Sony PC..." on my credit card statement for multiple months now. I am not currently using any other service from Sony and I have been charged this multiple times so I am trying to figure out how to end this bill and get reimbursed for the previous charges.

I cannot see driver camera on website of sony vaio
I cannot use camera on SVT13118fxs. It display USB 2.0 Camera on Device Manager.
I visit the following link, but there is not driver of camera. I also try to install WebCam Companion® 4 Software but it is not driver.

Drivers issues with Ubuntu Mate
Hi guys,i did buy to my mom a Sony Vaio model SVF14211CLB 3 years ago,unfortunately the PC was stolen from home and until 2 weeks ago came back home 
My biggest concern now is that i did reformat the PC without burning the OS with the Assist feature and did install Ubuntu Mate OS,the issue is that Ubuntu doesn't works now because the LAN /interner drivers issues ... now,i can't use the PC because i did delete the partition where i can burn the CD's,Windows 10 doesn't works well with the Sony Vaio PC's says Microsoft tech support and Sony Vaio in my country will charge me if they bring the original CD's to my country ...
Honestly,i dont want Windows OS anymore on her PC because since the upgrade from W 8 to W 8.1 the headaches did start ... windows updates didn't work properly,the click feature to update was in a grey colour that couldn't click,a technician from Microsoft did try to find a solution but the only answer i did get from him after more than 2 hours on the system was : you should reformat the PC...honestly,dont want Windows on her PC anymore,i want a Linux,Ubuntu or any OS that can works properly on her PC.
All your comments / suggesyions will be appreciate it,thanks !!! 
P .s : i did download the LAN drivers from the Sony main site but the PC internet feature doesn't works yet ...

Suddenly no sound on VAIO laptop
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FZ31M laptop.
When I started it one day the sound was no longer working.
I have checked all diagnostics etc, and there are no errors reported, instead says sound is working. Windows Media Player is the only software that reports that sound can't be played due to problems with the audio unit.
Is there any way I can check if there are problems with the audio drivers, or if the problem is the audio card?

usando dcr-pc 1000e come convertitore analogico/digitale inviando il segnale al mac con installato imovie vedo e sento il segnale ma non riesco a reistrarlo come posso fare. Notare che il contatore indica il tempo di regisrazione.

recovery file and asist button failed to reinstalled window correctly
Hi i got a sony vaio model SVE1511AENB
When after recovery the window doesn’t function properly, problem are listed as
- Vaio care doesn’t exist after the recovery. All vaio function are not working.
- Touchpad doesn’t function at the start, need to press window button to make it function
- After using for almost 30 mint some keys doesn’t function .
- Some driver like USB port and other HDMI ports are not functioning.
- Sound system seems functionless while using it for some time
PS: I have tried rectifying by pressing ASIST button and had followed the required steps for several times. In my opinion the software that crush. Could you please provide me the linked for fresh downloading of the required full software for viao including the viao care too. I have tried downloading for sony forum support the vaio care. But seems not working. Thank you so much, waiting for the reply.

Sony Vaio OS not found/broken screen issues
I have a Sony Vaio model number PCG-61A14L.
My husband stepped on the edge the other day, so the screen is cracked in one of the upper left corner. It still functioned normally for two or three days, then today it froze. When I turned the computer back on, it stated Operating system not found, we usually use our hdmi cable to display my computer on our tv, but the cord doesnt sense a connection to the computer, so now I cant see anything else on the screen except for what would be the top two lines of text on a boot screen.
i made sure the harddrive was secure and was finally able to hit assist, but now I cant visually see where to go on the screen. Please help.

VPCEA3S1E VAIO Laptop
Hello - I have following model: VPCEA3S1E
Tried to change Disk to fast SSD. Now PC is not booting anymore. Disk is recognized in BIOS but can not boot from it. Also when I install fresh OS - Windows is not booting from it - it stays black. I have looked for BIOS Update - but can find any one. Please help me - I think it is BIOS Issue.

How to uninstall Sony VAIO Assist.
Hi All,
I bought Sony VAIO laptop a year ago. Few months back my harddrive crashed and it was beyond repair. Since my laptop warranty expired the service center denied support unless paid for it. Hence, i choose to go with non authorized service centers, who configured a new harddrive on the machine. The original harddrive was broken and the support center guys could not recover data from it. As a result the "Assist" button is useless, because the assit file couldn't be recovered.
My question is:
1. Is there any way i can make "Assist" work again with the new harddrive, if yes kindly share the procedure ?
a. In this process will i get the default WIN 8 (Original Ver).
2. Can i completly del the "Assist" functionality from the machine ?
I am not good with laptops & configuring them. While installing WIN 7 through assist, i was unable to read the files from pendrive, DVD, CD etc. In future, if i have to restore my laptop or recover it, it would be quite a hassle without the assit button. If we cannot recover the functionality, i would like to remove the function completly & use it with ease, so that i can install any OS i want at any point.

Kaspersky -> Intel Graphics -> Vaio: Help?
I had a problem with my Kaspersky. I contacted the tech. support and they identified an incompability between Kaspersky and Intel Graphics 4000. They said that I should install the newest driver, but an error message has appeared saying that there was an incompability between Intel drivers and my computer.
I contacted Intel tech. support and they have identified a problem between the Intel Graphics Drivers and the computer manufacturer driver, which I suppose it's Vaio. So here I am.
Intel tech support said that the following link should help me, I did what it say but nothing had change.
