Touchscreen/pointer problem with Windows 10

VAIO SVT131A11L (aka SVT13125CDS) has had a touchscreen/pointer problem ever since upgrading from Windows 8.1 to 10.  On startup or coming out of sleep/hibernation, the touchscreen shows two touch images (whatever that graphic is when you touch the screen with your finger) permanently in the middle of the screen and the pointer flickers in and out, alternating between a frozen pointer appearing in the middle of the screen and the actual pointer as I move it around via the touchpad or BT mouse.  Display driver is up to date via device manager and I've looked all around for driver updates on Sony's website but nothing for Windows 10 for display for this model.  I've also tried calibrating the touchscreen.

 

The workaround has always been to switch display modes on startup, Win key + P, from PC Screen to Duplicate then back to PC Screen, the static finger prints and pointer disappear and everything works properly.

 

Now I'm stuck with Windows update version 1607 in the queue because if I allow that update the Win key + P workaround no longer works and the problem becomes permanent.  I've tried it twice and had to roll back each time.

 

Frustrated, I finally did a clean install of Windows 10, the OS definitely runs a bit better (it's quicker in general) but this problem still persists.

 

I've seen threads about touchpads and touchscreens not working entirely with Windows 10, but nothing like my problem.  Any ideas?

 

Currently running Win 10 v. 1511, 64 bit.

Hello,

I Got Sony SVS15126PA & Suddenly There Is No Sound Output From my internal Speakers Also I Connect My Headset The Same Nothing Came From My Laptop The Only Thing that's Working if i connect to HDMI The Sound came from My TV Also If I Connect My Bluethoot  HeadSet Working Also , i done reparing my drivers by uninstalling/installing  even i just restore my laptop to factory mode As I Purchase Nothing Happend. So Can any one Face this issue before or am the only person face that.

Webcam Driver for Windows 10

I'm looking for drivers for webcam for Windows 10. I tried to follow the instructions from other posts, e.g. I did the check of Device Manager, where I can't find Webcam. 

 

Could you please advise me where I can find the drivers? My model is VPC SA 3S9R.

BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+14e3a0 driver power state failure

I have a sony VAIO laptop model no. SVF15218SNB running on windows 8.1 64bit. I've been constantly getting the BSOD with the error named driver power state failure. I've updated and rechecked all the drivers in the device manager and all of them say up-to-date. When I checked the minidump files of the crash, it said that ntoskrnl.exe+14e3a0 is responsible for the crash.

VAIO all in one (Windows 8) won't start Windows

I did an update on my computer last week and left it until this week. When I went to turn it on it went to a screen that said "Your VAIO failed to start Windows" with the options of Start troubleshooting (recovery) or Start BIOS setup. I've tried recovery and it does nothing but restart and take me right back to the same screen. 

 

When I select Start BIOS setup, I've gone into the Exit tab have selected "Get Default Values" which has not changed anything. In the Main tab, System Memory and HDD1 are listed and have values. HHD2 is also listed but the value is "None". What else can I do to fix this issue? I can't seem to get out of this cycle.

SONY VAIO LAPTOP

Had to do a clean install, the install stopped and now the computer cannot initiate. How can one obtain a boot disk for a SONY VAIO Laptop (SVE14A35CXH)? The one created is not working so no way to initialize the computer. At this point, the laptop merely turns on and after the VAIO display disappears, the screen turns black with a rotating icon on the bottom center keeps on going without stopping. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Keyboard backlight won't turn on (SVF15N18DJS)

I did a clean install of Winodws 8.1 on my laptop. Before that, the keyboard backlight was still enabled. After the installation, the backlight won't turn on again.

 

I did some searching and people say I need VAIO Control Center or Hotkey Utilities for it, but I couldn't find the right version for my laptop model. Help please? Thanks.

Failed clean install and now laptop is useless at this moment

My Sony VAIO (model: SVE14A35CXH and original operation system: Windows 8) had to be clean install because it was having a lot of software problems. During the clean install process, something took place that prevented the software to fully complete the clean install process. At this moment, if I turn the laptop on, the display shows the VAIO sign, but once that disappear, the screen turns black and the only thing displaying on the screen is this circulating icon on the bottom middle of the screen. I attempted to use my recovery disk that I created when I first purchased the laptop, but that does not seem to work. I was wondering where I can obtain a recovery or reboot CD disk because this perhaps is my only true options. There is no faulty hardware. This is solely a software issue. Can someone help? The laptop is still a very good laptop, but I can't use it because of software problem.

BIOS upgrade Problem

I recently purchased (27-01-2017) used sony vaio model number sve151g13w product number SVE15136CAW in Karachi, Pakistan. after purchase i have updated all the drivers and BIOS, but soon i have received the message when i Power on laptop "Operating System Not Found". one of technician told me that after the update of BIOS all the devices (HD, USB and CD Room) now disable from  BIOS. to enabling the devices in BIOS when i go inside the BIOS unfortunately one of previous Owner of the laptop set the password on BIOS, the shopkeper also dont know that. i want you to let me know the solution or reset the BIOS Password which will enable me to use my laptop otherwise this is just waste for me. i also search on net for the problem but i did not get any solution.

 

i will be very thank full if some one get me out from this problem.

Hello I have a Sony Vaio svf152A29M and I reseted it then I installed win 7 pro but the resolution was just ugly and the network doesn't work I have tried everything and even tried to upgrade the driver but I can't even find the model for my laptop on the driver downloading site i really need it fixed A.S.A.P so please any kind person PLEASE HELP ME

Hello.  I recently upgraded my laptop vgn-fw160e to windows 7 64bit and Im trying to updated my system drivers to be able to use the HDMI port.  Only I can't find drivers that support windows 7 64bit, seems all are for vista OS.  Are there drivers compatible for windows 7 64bit?

My Sony Vaio VPCX111KX Device Manager does not see built-in Motion Eye camera. There is no proper driver for this laptop model on the official Sony site. Where can I find this driver? Maybe someone has it, please share!

Resetting to factory setting Big Problem

I've always liked Sony until today. I tried to reset my laptop to factory settings because I want the original windows instead of 10. However when tried doing so from BIOS something happened and now all I get is "operating system not found". Calling customer support was of no help because they absolutely had no answers except that they would transfer me to tech support for $99. This is called bait and switch. I bought a laptop several years ago when there was no such policy and now I'm getting punished for keeping my laptop past warranty. At the very least I would think I'd be grandfathered into their old policy. If you're willing to keep a customer, please help.

Good afternoon,

 
I don't speak english very well, but I need help.
 
My Lorrane and I live in Brazil and in the year 2014 I went to the US on vacation. On 2/24/2014 at 58th Store in Orlando, FL. I bought the VAIO Fit 15th Flip PC, model SVF15N17CXS.
In the year 2016 he began to present problems where he hung up alone, when he hung up, the next day he did not call anymore. I took it to Sony authorized service and could not find the problem because it is a model not produced in Brazil.
Also, when they opened the computer case, they found that the hinges were breaking because it was a bad material.
I am with my new computer without being able to use it, it only connects sometimes and the hinge is broken. I would like the help to fix because I have used it for a while and would not want to discard a very good machine like this model.
I have US relatives and friends who go frequently. How can you help me?
