I am in needs for helps getting my VGN-NR160E recover back to the original state. I do not have the recovery CD/DVD for it. And running F10 to recover didn't work either. Currently, the hard drive is fresh with nothing on it.

Complaint against Vaio Customer Support phone 888-476-6972
I need to have a number where I can call to complain about the technical service provided for the Sony Vaio Laptop. I called the number from the website 888-476-6972. I have called three times in the last 24 hours. I have a case number. They would not help me unless I paid $99. I tried paying on 6 different occassions, something was wrong with their payment system, I talked to three different people in a 24 hour period it was very frusturating. I have the case number etc. They ran my card 6 times and it would not work. They would not help me even though I was on the phone for a total of 3 hours on 3 different calls. So frustrating. i asked to talk to a supervisor, none was available, they said a supervisor would call m. No one did. the last agent snarkily said we are not affiliated with Sony, just go to Best Buy. What great customer service? Who do I call to complain about this service?

How do I get to Graphics Card menu within the BIOS setup-VGN-AR770?
Laptop OS was Vista 32 bits Ultimate, now switched to 64 bits Windows 7 Professional-fresh installation.
Problem: Nividia GeForce 8600M GT graphics card cannot be detected, it seems to me it is now running on genetic driver, as screen saver is not working as well.
I downloaded Nvidia 64 bits driver but installation failed, saying cannot detect compatible product. And Sony's website drivers update for my laptop only has drivers for Vista 32 bits available.
I searched online 1 suggestion popped up, saying going to graphics card menu within the BIOS setup, select "switchable" instead of Integrated option, but i cannot find it.
Can anyone shows me how to get the Nvidia driver installation complete? Thank you

Battery care function missing from Vaio Control Center (SVP1321BPXB)
Hi,
I have clean installed windows 10 pro and i try install VAIO Power Management but Battery care function not show.
- No recovery drive on Vaio Care because I deleted it and created only one drive.
- Tried install Vaio Control Center 6.1.XXXX , 6.2.XXXX , 6.3.XXXX , 6.4.XXXX it still does not show.
- Tried another model driver ex. SVP13XXXXXX it still does not show.
- Tried driver for windows 7,8,8.1 it still does not show.
- Tried driver Hotkey(win8) it still does not show.
- Tried changing the driver installation sequence it still does not show.
- Tried re-install windows because I think that the installation before and after are related (9-10 times).
VAIO Power Management is the key for Battery care and fan speed function ?

Help! Suddenly: Operating System Not Found
I have successfully installed a Windows Professional to my sony vaio. But after ive installed a driver, it restarted and suddenly turns off. When i power On it now says Operating System not found. Ive tried anyting from the Assist button but still the OS is not found. Anyone has advise??

Help!Cant detect ssd
I have purchased a new sandisk ssd plus for my vaio laptop because the previous hdd is spoilt and the laptop showing operating system not found. However, when i plug in the ssd into the laptop and boot. In the BIOs, it doesnt detect the new ssd and i cant install a operating system to the drive. I have check the ssd with other laptop and it works well. Can anyone show me the ways to enable the laptop to detect the ssd? Thank you in advance

VPCEJ2B1E - Battery not compatible pop up
Trying to rebuild a PC win7, have the OS running and never done this before.
Now getting "battery incompatible pop up" when its the original battery supplied with the PC. I must have got an incorrect software from Sony website for a driver or something, does anyone know which driver/software it is and which is the correct one to get rid of it?

SSD drive
Bought a new SSD drive and was hoping that I could use recovery disk and a system image to get the PC up and running. Microsoft tell me that images are stored as SATA images and won't work on SSD drives. Is there any software I can use to convert a system image on a storage drive so I can load the system image?

Sony Vaio PCG-961C, Windows XP install
Hi all,
I bought an very old Sony Vaio PCG-961C, with an installed Windows XP Prof 32bit.
I bought it at first for the internal harddrive to use it for another laptop.
But someone is interested so I thought I will check the system etc.
I found out that there were 3 windows installations in the Windows Explorer. 2 of them were to see before starting up.
I installed a very old version of Firefox because Internet Explorer gave issues during the browsing.
When I started the next day the laptop and clicked on firefox it gave an error message and I had to do a SFC/ Scannow.
During that scan it asked for a windows cd. I did not get a windows xp or recovery cd`s.
The CD drive does not read my own Windows XP CD and I have also tried to install Windows by an USB sticks. I have tried it will all programs that are available. I have also tried to install it by an external CD/DVD drive.
Today I have read that it is impossible to install Windows by USB because that is blocked by Sony.
What can I do without making to many costs for such an old laptop?

Windows XP drivers or recovery media for VGN-U71P (70P / 750P)
Hi everyone!
Could someone please help me and provide the drivers or recovery media for my VGN-U71P?
I have a recovery DVD for the VGN-U8G (and probably the U50 + U8C) but the 71P refuses to accept this. (wrong model)
I guess there are 2 different types of recovery media: One for the Celeron and another for the Pentium M ones, though not sure.)
Would be so great to get the tools and drivers. Would even pay 10$ or even more.
Can also download it, no physical copy needed.
Any help appreciated!
(Otherwise I could take the hard drive from the U8G and build it in the 71P, that would probably work but it´s a bit... inconvenient...)

Sony laptop is not allowing browser cache
Hello everybody I just bought sony vaio laptop and very strange problem is happening with me . My laptop is not caching websites . I dnt know weather this problem is with my laptop or my browser . For example my clients website is http://www.gdweblab.com and I open this daily . but the strange problem is that my laptop does not cache this website . I am very frustrated with this ,caching is very important in my business . If anybody faced this problem or have any solution please reply to this .

Hi everyone. I have a Sony Vaio F Series laptop. I think it is have 3 model number PCG81312L--VPCF23JFX--VPCF23JFX/BC
(the one that sold with Battlefield 3 + Headset)
Lately my pc running slowly. It started to heat too much it was never happening before too much. When i play games i suddenly have fps drops.
One of the things i want to ask is it came with 6gb ram. I made it 12gb ram, is it make a problem for pc?
I think this model have turbo but i don`t know turbo is working or not working. how i can learn that? (i can`t access my BIOS because forgot my password)

Bueno la situación es que quiero instalar VAIO control center porque formatee mi pc y me dice "No hay instalada ninguna versión de software aplicable a esta actualización. se cancelara la actualización" me guiarían a como instalar ese "software" para poder instalar VAIO Control Center porfavor.

Getting updates for PCG-2C1L (VGCLT38E)
Model PCG-2C1L (VGCLT38E) all in one, windows vista
I am working on an old PC, making sure everything is up to date. Normally I would make sure the Bios is the latest, and then do windows and other updates. I noticed on sony support that there are a few newer updates for drivers and other factory software, but no bios updates are listed. On the dozens of PCs I have looked at there have always be at least a couple of Bios updates during its product life, so this is unusual. Next I noticed that windows updates complains that it is not enabled, but that there is something called VAIO update. Before I jump in and try the usual windows updates fixes:
Are there really no Bios updates for this PC?
Should I still be able to run windows updates, or is the sony updates feature supposed to replace that?
